Yankees Slug 4 HR’s

The New York Yankees collectively hit four home runs as they beat the Cleveland Indians 6-3.  The Indians took the series two games to one.  The game’s sluggers were Jason Giambi, Johnny Damon, Robinson Cano and Wilson Betemit.  Hideki Matsui extended his hitting streak to 17 games.

The Yankees are 18-18 for the season and are in third place in the American League East Division, 4.5 games behind the first-place Boston Red Sox.  The Indians are in third in the American League Central Division.   Their 16-18 record places them 1.5 games behind the first-place Minnesota Twins.
